The international research team “Afroeuropeans: Black Cultures and Identities in Europe” will be meeting in Leon, Spain, to celebrate the IV Conference of African Studies at the University of Leon, under the motto:

“Afroeuropes: Culturas e Identidades / Afroeuropeans: Cultures
and Identities / Afroeuropeens: Cultures et Identités”.

The event will take place from the 18th to 21st October 2006.

Among the invited speakers are:

Agnés Agbotón, Sharmilla Beezmohun, Jean-Godefroy Bidima, Lucia
Charun-Illescas, Inmaculada Díaz Narbona, Elvira Dyangani, Kodwo Eshun,
Bernardine Evaristo, Raimi Gbadamosi, Victorien Lavou, Landry-Wilfrid
Miampika, Bernard Mouralis, Donato Ndongo, Mbare Ngom, Boniface Mongo,
Sami Tchack, Rachid Nini and Patrick Williams.
